Naked 3

So for Christmas I got a lot of gift cards from Ulta, and I of course had to go and get the Naked 3 palette ! So when I got to Ulta I hurried my way over to the Urban Decay display to find out that there were no Naked 3 palettes left. So I looked around the store, and found more that I didn't need but wanted =) I was about to go pay for my goodies and I decided to go check one more time if there were any Naked 3 palettes. As I was walking over there I noticed a girl holding a palette, of course in my head I was saying "don't buy it lady, don't buy it" and she put it down! As soon as she put it down I snatched that bad boy up and got in line.

The difference between Naked 2 and 3 is that the Naked 3 palette is rose-hued neutrals. The case is the same as Naked 2, which I like, its good to take with you anywhere you go! There are 12 shades (new shades), like always, with different finishes. Some shades are matte, satin, shimmery and glittery.

I swathed all the shades below, I did not use any primer or flash photography. Take a look!

Strange-a cream pinkish matte, Dust- a metallic/glittery pink, Burnout-  pinkish peach satin, Limit- neutral rose matte

Buzz- metallic rose with silver glitters, Trick- copper pink shimmer, Nooner- pinkish mauve matte, Liar- bronze with a tint of rose shimmer.

Factory- brown satin, Mugshot- bronze shimmer, Darkside- deep mauve satin, Blackheart- a black matte with pink shimmer

I wanted to compare Naked 2 and Naked 3 (I do not have Naked) and see if there are any similarities. I found 4 of the shades to be similar
Chopper and Trick
Tease and Nooner
Suspect and Mugshot
Busted and Blackheart
Other than that all the other shades were different, and I would still recommend the Naked 3 palette. I still don't know which palette I like more, I'm sure the more I play with the new palette I will make up my mind and I will definitely let you know!

I hope you guys enjoyed this review and got an idea of what the new Naked 3 palette is like! I will have to do some makeup looks with this palette very soon.

Have you bought the new palette yet?

Covergirl bombshell volume mascara

I was in need of a new mascara, and my all time favorite is the Maybelline Falsies and I wanted to try something different so I decided to give Covergirl bombsell volume  a shot.

So this mascara has two sides.
STEP 1: is for volume. It said on the packaging you can apply 1-3 coats, and of course I did 3 coats! I really did like the brush, it has short rubber bristles which allows you to get right to the root of the lashes.

STEP 2: is for intensifying your lashes. So I applied two coats of this after step one. I was not a fan of this brush, I just felt like I couldn't get the brush to grip my lashes.

So as you can see in the pictures the mascara really does make a difference. My complaints with this mascara are that it does not give me enough volume and it clumps my lashes a bit.

Overall I would give this mascara a 3 out of 5, not bad but not one of my favorites!

Have you guys tried this mascara yet? If you haven't I hope I made your decision about buying it easier!

Gift wrapping

With Christmas right around the corner and everyone wrapping presents I thought it would be fun to post some different wrapping ideas! This year I didn't go all out on wrapping, I just used good old wrapping paper (hey, there's nothing wrong with that!).

These are real simple to make, they are actually lunch bags with some added decorations. So all you need is a brown bag, and decorations of your choice such as: buttons, ribbon, twine, decorative paper, floral decoration, the ideas are endless!

Using brown craft paper is another great idea for gift wrap, just some nice ribbon and you are good to go. Also for a nice flare add the initial of the persons first name.

Simple white wrapping paper, with a cute name tag, and a decoration is a nice and simple look.

This is one of my favorites. Again, using the brown craft paper, but what I like is the burlap with the twine and the pine cones.

Wrap presents using a map with a simple ribbon.

Newspaper is another good idea to use for wrapping paper, just add white hole punched paper and some glitter and you  have yourself a nicely wrapped gift!

Brown craft paper, black ribbon, a cute name tag, with some pine.

White wrapping paper with writing, or you can even make your own by buying white paper and writing your favorite song or poem. Finish it off with a nice ribbon and a decoration.

Nice red paper with a design and ribbon with a charm.

I thought this was a clever idea! Just take an old sock or even a sweater and just tie the gift inside of it! Then add a name tag. I would use a red name tag to give it a pop of color.

This is another one of my favorites. Just using brown craft paper with a black and white photo of you and the person you are giving the gift too. Add some twine or ribbon for a nice touch.

Simple white paper, black and white ribbon, and a simple name tag is a easy and a nice way to wrap presents.

As you can see my favorite way to wraps presents is to use brown craft paper. It's my favorite because than you can add sooo many different things to give it a nice look! I got all of these ideas from Pinterest, go check out my Pinterest page for more ideas!

What is you favorite way to wrap Christmas presents?

Emerald green

Lately I have been seeing a lot of emerald in fashion, and I actually like this color a lot. I especially like this color for eye shadow, it works well with any eye color. Emerald, to me, is such a royal color so whenever I do wear it I feel rich! Here are a couple of things I found.

Now I wish I could run to the store and buy all these things! I also think that this color is perfect for the holiday season. What do you guys think, would you wear this color?

Christmas decor inspiration

One of my favorite things to do is just search online for Christmas decorations, and I always find such beautiful things! This time I was definitely inspired by a vintage feel, take a look below at what I found!

I love how simple and clean the decorations are, sometimes going with a monochromatic theme is nice too!

Simple pillows

Beautiful wreath with a pop of red

Simple garland  with fairy lights and beautiful ornaments

Love the woodsy feel to this room, its so simple yet so warm and beautiful

This would be such a cute decoration in a kids room

 Love this simple pillow

White wreath

 Simple burlap Christmas stockings

Wreath with a touch of color

Now I just wish I had a house big enough for all these beautiful decorations. Hey, we can always have our dreams and we'll get there one day! I hope you guys are enjoying your holiday season thus far. Don't forget to take a breather from all the Christmas shopping and just a enjoy a hot cup of coco and a movie =)

Christma's gifts for HIM

1. Dollar shave club is a great gift for the man in your life. It is basically a monthly subscription for razors, and it is for a very affordable price! This is a great alternative to going out and buying over priced razors. Your significant other will definitely enjoy this subscription!

2. Whiskey and rum making kit how sweet is this kit?! This gift can be for any man in your life; dad, grandpa, friend, boyfriend, husband, brother, you get the idea. Every guy enjoys wiskey and now they can make their own, such a great idea!

3. Butt + face soap this would make a great stocking stuffer. I personally enjoy funny gifts, and this one is perfect! You can actually use this soap, it's not just a "decoration."

4. Face mug this is yet another funny gift. It holds both your beverage and your sweets, ahaha!

5. Chanel Allure Homme Sport this cologne smells amazing, and who doesn't want their man to smell good (hey your the one who has to be smelling him!).

6. Guitar pick punch this is a great gift for the man in your life that plays a guitar. It's basically a hole puncher for picks. You can make a pick out anything, well something that is sturdy and you can use to play your guitar!

7. Stone ice cube rocks these are a great alternative to ice cubes. I know a lot of men who drink whiskey and hate using ice because it waters down their drink. Well, this is perfect because it will not water down the drink! You just place them in the freezer and put them in your drink to keep it cool!

8. PlayStation 4 a bit pricey, but a great gift. What guy doesn't like to play video games every once in a while?! I know, us ladies hate the video games, but hey it also doubles up as a blu-ray player!

I know it is hard to shop for the man in your life so I hope this list gave you guys some ideas =)

By the way this is a great website for gift ideas for guys, you should check it out.

Favorite face products

Makeup forever HD primer this primer is just magic in a bottle. This primer makes my foundation last ALL day without any creasing. It comes out in a lotion form and smells really good! You need a very small amount to get the job done. The shade number I use is 0. Make sure you put this over your moisturizer so that your skin does not become dry.

Estee Lauder double wear foundation this foundation is wonderful and it does come in many different color choice, and also includes SPF 10. It is definitely a high coverage foundation and lasts all day, especially when paired with the Makeup Forever HD primer.

Urban Decay all nighter makeup setting spray this is my favorite setting spray and I have repurchased it many times. It prevents my makeup form sliding down my face and disappearing throughout the day! I definitely notice a difference in how long my makeup lasts when I use this setting spray.

Jergens natural glow face self tanner this is my favorite face self tanner, the shade that I get is medium to tan. I like using this product in the winter when I need a little bit of color on my face. What I love about this product is that it does not fade in patches, it fades very evenly you don't even notice it. It has a very slight scent, but its definitely bearable. Also it does not stay your sheets so you can put it on before you go to bed and wake up in the morning with a nice glow!

Bobbi Brown corrector this corrector is my all time favorite, the shade I get it in is bisque (salmony/pink). I use this under my eyes before I put on my concealer, and I definitely notice a difference when I use this product. It helps diminish the dark circles and bags under my eyes.

Maybelline fit me concealer this concealer is just amazing! It is so thick, but not thick to the point where it is noticeable. Sometimes I just wear this and no foundation, I'll cover up any breakouts, red spots, and any skin discoloration and I'm good to go!

Clinique liquid facial soap this face wash is very nice and is one of my all time favorites. I use this every day, in the morning and night. I noticed a major difference when I started using this product and I have been using it for several years now. I love how you need just a little bit and it lathers up so nicely!

Clinique dramatically different moisturizer this moisturizer is just out of this world, I have been using this one for years and I don't think I will ever use something else. The one I use is in the gel form and is meant for oily skin. I also like to bring this moisturizer down my neck when I use it on my face, make sure you do that as well...aging is very noticeable on your neck so keep it moisturized!

Clinique clarifying lotion this is a very good toner and again, I have used this product for many years as well. I like to use this right after I use the liquid facial soap. Whenever I use it, it always removes more makeup that my makeup remover did not get.

Cetaphil daily facial cleanser  this cleanser is just a zit miracle! I use this every single day and I have noticed a very big difference with maintaining breakouts. Also I use the normal to oily combination.

The body shop tea tree mask I love this face mask! I use this once a week, especially when I have breakouts I put this on and it's just pure magic! It has a minty smell to it and whenever you put it on you feel this tingling sensation. Also it is green so whenever I wear it I feel like the Hulk ahaha! Needless to say I would highly recommend this mask!

I swear by all these products that I have mentioned and I have used them for years and I will continue to use them! I hope you guys go out and give some of these products a try.

What are some of your favorite face products?

Quick CVS stop

So I went into my local CVS only for body wash, and came out with this...........

Oops, I couldn't help myself! Whenever I see these amazing deals I just cannot pass them up. A lot of their makeup was 50%-75% off. I SUGGEST YOU GO TO YOUR NEAREST CVS RIGHT NOW!!!! I am a sucker for nail polish lately and I really liked these colors so I snatched them up. I also got the Sally Hansen Sallon effects, I don't usually buy these only when they are on sale. I picked up a loreal eye shadow as well as some lashes.

Sally Hansen grey/metalic (gone grey), Hot pink (crazy for chic), Navy (after hours), Gold-ish (charmed, I'm sure).

So don't wait any longer, go get yourself some goodies at CVS!

I just went today (11/30/13) and I'm sure the sale will be going on for a few days.

My makeup organization

So I decided to clean my makeup desk, cause it was looking like a hot mess. As I began organizing and taking everything out I decided to make a blog post out of it! My makeup vanity is actually a desk from Ikea (model name MICKE) but it works perfectly for me, it fits very nicely in the corner of the room and it does come with one drawer. I also use acrylic storage, I highly recommend Muji they have sooo many different acrylic cases to choose from.

So before I re-arranged everything in the acrylic holder I had my nail polishes kind of just thrown in there and some makeup products to the right. I decided to put all the nail polish in the drawer and put out my most used makeup on a daily basis. I like it like this much better so this way I don't have to fish around through containers looking for this stuff, now it's all right in front of my face (and it looks much neater)!

Now the drawer below holds all my nail polishes and the rest of my makeup that I do not reach for on a daily basis. I actually use Tupperware (on the right) to hold mostly eye shadows and some face products  and the pink container is actually a pencil holder that I just cracked in half ha ha ha, hey you gotta make it work!

I have 3 of these jars and some of them actually were candles and when the candle burned out I turned it a brush holder! If you don't have any candles you can always go to a craft store or even the dollar store and you will definitely find something there that you can use. Inside I put little rock that I got at Michaels.

What do you guys use for your makeup storage?
