Blue

Beautiful Diamond Stud Earrings from Anjolee

I was very excited when I received these earrings, what girl isn't excited about diamonds?! What I really like about these earrings is the blue center piece, you can also choose a white setting. I went with a blue setting because it was something different, it's just so beautiful. The thing that is really neat about Anjolee is that you can choose your own metal type, total carat type, and also the diamond quality. So you can basically customize your jewelry the way you want it to look, your the designer!

I just love how the blue center sparkles.

Another neat thing about having a blue setting is that it can spice up your look instantly. Here I am just wearing a black top with a floral blazer with hints of blue. These earrings can be paired with so many looks, not only can you wear them with a formal or business look, but I would also wear them with a casual look it would give it an interesting touch!

Toothbrush or makeup brush?

So I was looking around online for new makeup brushes and I came across these M.A.C brushes. I had no idea what they were at first, until I clicked it and realized that they were makeup brushes!

Linear 1 Brush- check out the honking handle on the brush! Crazy! Ha ha ha it just looks odd, you have this small brush head with this large handle. This brush would be perfect for lining your lid, also it looks like all you would have to do is tap the brush instead of dragging it across your lid. I would like it as a concealer brush as well, would be good for hard to reach places like around your nose.

Oval 3 Brush- this to me looks like your finger transformed in a brush! I tend to use my fingers a lot when I do my eyeshadow, and this brush looks like a perfect fir for that. Again, I would probably use it as a concealer brush as well.

Oval 6 Brush- I am always on the hunt for a good foundation brush and I would have to say this looks amazing. I feel like you would be able to really buff your foundation flawlessly with this brush.

Although these brushes are not budget friendly,  I would still love to try them. They look so different from your ordinary makeup brush, but yet so unique. I would have to say that I would want to try the Oval 6 brush the most out of the 3 brushes offered.

Have you guys tried these brushes?

Rimmel stay matte foundation review

Time for another review! Since I love the Rimmel stay matte powder I figured I'd give this new foundation a try.

The foundation is in a mousse form which I did like. Also, the shade does not oxidize once set.
-Retail price is $4.99 (at Ulta)
-Come in 8 different shades. My shade is True Ivory 103.
-I would diffidently say this is a FULL COVERAGE foundation.
-Does live up to it's name, and is a matte finish!
-Does not feel cakey at all, very light weight.
-No SPF so it does not give you that white cast in photographs!

I wore this foundation for 7 hours and I would have to say that it lasted pretty well, I did get a bit oily towards the end of the night but not bad.

Overall I do like this foundation, it did a great job covering my dark spots and red areas. For the price, it is a great foundation to have!

Highlighting and contouring

I personally think that highlighting/contouring does make a difference! It is a nice and quick way to give your face a "boost." I definitely do not do this everyday, due to the fact that it is a lot of makeup. I usually will highlight/contour when I am going out for the night or for a special occasion.

The picture to the left I have absolutely no makeup on (just moisturizer), and believe me there are days where I leave the house looking like that. And there is absolutely nothing wrong with leaving the house with no makeup, let your face breath and embrace that natural beauty girl!

1. Have on ONLY moisturizer
2. Just foundation. I did use a primer underneath, and use your favorite foundation! Ha ha ha are you annoyed as much as I am by that one piece of hair just hanging out in the air?!

Tribal anyone? Starting out with the highlight, you want to use a shade that is 3-5 shades darker than your natural color and highlight the areas that you want to appear "slimmer" so areas like: your nose, cheekbones, temples/forehead, and chin area. Than highlight the areas that you want to "pop," choose a shade that is lighter than your natural skin tone, but not too light where you look like a zombie! Highlight under your eyes, the bridge of your nose, and your cupids bow (above your lip), middle of your forehead, and your brow bone.

The last step is to blend, blend, blend! Also make sure you set everything with a powder. I use a translucent powder to set the areas that I highlighted and a bronzer for the contour. If you don't want to use a cream as your highlighter you can just go straight to bronzer and use that as your highlight.

Before- here I just have on foundation, and I feel like there is no life/glow to my face and it is very one dimensional.

After- by contouring and highlighting you really bring dimension and light to your face!

I hope you found this helpful and easier when it comes to contouring and highlighting!

Naked 3 natural look

I wanted to do a very natural look with the Naked 3 palette, and this is what I came up with! A look that is perfect for the day time, not heavy at all. It is very simple to achieve this look, very good for those days where you are short on time.

First apply your favorite eye primer.
Sweep Burnout all over your lid up to the crease

Use Nooner in the crease for some definition

To deepen the outer corner use Darkside

I used a little bit of the Dust in the inner corner
Strange as my highlight under the brow
Also I added Darkside to the lower lash line, just halfway to about the pupil.
Add your favorite mascara and eyeliner

Here is the final look! I am pretty happy with the way it came out. I will be posting some darker looks soon!

Most used in December

As a month comes to an end I love looking back at what makeup I found myself reaching for the most. This is what I came up with:

It's Judy Time palette is a really amazing palette, and you can do so many looks and it only costs $14.95. This is made by BH cosmetics and the shadows are very pigmented and so creamy/velvety. The look opportunities with this palette are endless! Go get yourself one since it will only be on the website for a limited time.

This Milani blush in Dolce pink is really a beautiful blush to have. It is a perfect shade of pink with a little bit of shimmer. Perfect for those winter months when you want a nice blush on your cheeks!

I have talked about the Make Up For Ever HD primer before, it truly is an amazing primer and I am so happy I purchased this. It literally makes your foundation last all day, I just love how it prevents the foundation from settling into your fine lines. You only need one good pump and it looks like a lotion. I do recommend using this with a moisturizer it tends to dry out your face if you don't.

The Revlon Colorstay foundation is honestly my favorite of all time! I have tried so many different foundations and I find myself always going back to this one (even over high end foundations). I just love everything about it, the coverage is just amazing!

I have used the Rimmel Stay Matte powder in transparent for a very long time, and I will continue using it unless I discover a new extremely beyond wonderful powder hehehe =)

e.l.f. eyeshadow primer is honestly a great eyeshadow primer for only $3.00! It definitely compares to the hing end primers, so I would save yourself some money and buy this and see how amazing it is!

L'oreal True Match Crayon Concealer is a good item to have. This concealer works perfect for contouring, it's creamy texture just blends right in. Just buy a shade that's 3-5 shades darker than your natural shade and contour away!

These two mascaras are a match made in heaven! I use the L'Oreal Telescopic mascara first for length, and I also use it for my bottom lashes. I follow it up with Maybelline Falsies mascara for crazy volume, I do about 2-3 coats.

The Urban Decay makeup setting spray is my all time favorite, I have tried many others before and they do not compare!

I am telling you, you should really try out these products and I guarantee you will love them!

What have you guys been loving lately?
Any recommendations for me?
