Arbonne foundation review

I have been using the Arbonne foundation for a good month now, so I figured it was a good time to do a review. I love sharing my thoughts with you guys, and giving you an idea of what the product is like! There were things that I liked about this foundation and some that I did not.

I did use a moisturizer as well as a primer. I would say that the foundation has medium coverage. I did try to build up to a full, but the it just looked extremely heavy. When it sets it looks very powdery, I even tried wearing the foundation without a setting powder, it made no difference. I have heard many good reviews about this foundation so I wanted to try it out myself, and I really was not in love with the foundation. Also, for that price, I have drugstore foundations that I enjoy much more. 

I have oily combination skin so I can only imagine what this foundation would look like on a person with dry skin. It would most likely cling to all your dry patches and make you look even more dry.

Over all I would give this product a 5 out of 10. I probably wouldn't buy this product again, I achieve better results with my other foundations. You may not experience the same results as me, but to me this foundation didn't really workout with my skin. 

I know its a bit hard to tell on the picture, but to me it looks very powdery. I just feel like I look very flat and the foundation isn't flattering at all.

Physicians Formula Super CC+

The consistency of this very much like a foundation, not a full coverage but a lite coverage.  I used a flat top foundation brush to buff it in all over my skin. I did set it with powder.

When I bought the Physicians Formula Supper CC+ cream I thought it was going to be something I wear under my foundation with pretty much no cover at all. Boy was I wrong! And it sure promises a lot of things:

Age spots

Dark circles

Blemishes

Dullness

Uneven skin tone

Redness

Dark shadows

Discoloration

Fine lines

Wrinkles

Signs of fatigue

 I don't think it does all things as mentioned above, but it definitely covered up my discolored areas and I do think it did a good job on filling in my fine lines. I do not have any age spots so I am not too sure how it would perform when it comes to that. As far as dark circles go, I never put my cc cream or bb cream all the way up by my eyes, that's what concealer is for!  

 

 Wearing nothing but moisturizer. Always moisturize before you apply any makeup!

 As you can see the CC cream did not change the appearance of my skin too much, it looks like my skin but better. The shade that I used is Light.

My over all thoughts on this product are that I do like it as a light coverage foundation. I do think it has a great staying power, but I did get oily in my T zone as the day went on. My favorite thing is that it feels so lite on my face, but yet it gives you some coverage. Would I recommend this product? Yes!

Rimmel stay matte foundation review

Time for another review! Since I love the Rimmel stay matte powder I figured I'd give this new foundation a try.

The foundation is in a mousse form which I did like. Also, the shade does not oxidize once set.

-Retail price is $4.99 (at Ulta)

-Come in 8 different shades. My shade is True Ivory 103.

-I would diffidently say this is a FULL COVERAGE foundation.

-Does live up to it's name, and is a matte finish! 

-Does not feel cakey at all, very light weight.

-No SPF so it does not give you that white cast in photographs!

I wore this foundation for 7 hours and I would have to say that it lasted pretty well, I did get a bit oily towards the end of the night but not bad.

Overall I do like this foundation, it did a great job covering my dark spots and red areas. For the price, it is a great foundation to have!

Naked 3

So for Christmas I got a lot of gift cards from Ulta, and I of course had to go and get the Naked 3 palette ! So when I got to Ulta I hurried my way over to the Urban Decay display to find out that there were no Naked 3 palettes left. So I looked around the store, and found more that I didn't need but wanted =) I was about to go pay for my goodies and I decided to go check one more time if there were any Naked 3 palettes. As I was walking over there I noticed a girl holding a palette, of course in my head I was saying "don't buy it lady, don't buy it" and she put it down! As soon as she put it down I snatched that bad boy up and got in line.

The difference between Naked 2 and 3 is that the Naked 3 palette is rose-hued neutrals. The case is the same as Naked 2, which I like, its good to take with you anywhere you go! There are 12 shades (new shades), like always, with different finishes. Some shades are matte, satin, shimmery and glittery.  

I swathed all the shades below, I did not use any primer or flash photography. Take a look! 

 Strange-a cream pinkish matte, Dust- a metallic/glittery pink, Burnout-  pinkish peach satin, Limit- neutral rose matte

Buzz- metallic rose with silver glitters, Trick- copper pink shimmer, Nooner- pinkish mauve matte, Liar- bronze with a tint of rose shimmer.

Factory- brown satin, Mugshot- bronze shimmer, Darkside- deep mauve satin, Blackheart- a black matte with pink shimmer 

I wanted to compare Naked 2 and Naked 3 (I do not have Naked) and see if there are any similarities. I found 4 of the shades to be similar

Suspect and Mugshot

Busted and Blackheart

Other than that all the other shades were different, and I would still recommend the Naked 3 palette. I still don't know which palette I like more, I'm sure the more I play with the new palette I will make up my mind and I will definitely let you know!

I hope you guys enjoyed this review and got an idea of what the new Naked 3 palette is like! I will have to do some makeup looks with this palette very soon.

Covergirl bombshell volume mascara

I was in need of a new mascara, and my all time favorite is the Maybelline Falsies and I wanted to try something different so I decided to give Covergirl bombsell volume  a shot.

So this mascara has two sides.

STEP 1: is for volume. It said on the packaging you can apply 1-3 coats, and of course I did 3 coats! I really did like the brush, it has short rubber bristles which allows you to get right to the root of the lashes. 

STEP 2: is for intensifying your lashes. So I applied two coats of this after step one. I was not a fan of this brush, I just felt like I couldn't get the brush to grip my lashes.

So as you can see in the pictures the mascara really does make a difference. My complaints with this mascara are that it does not give me enough volume and it clumps my lashes a bit. 

Overall I would give this mascara a 3 out of 5, not bad but not one of my favorites!
